Chamonix French Alps sits at the base of the wonderful Mount Blanc in the Alps and is recognized as the mountaineering and extreme skiing epi centre of the European Alps. The resort has long been known as a veritable area for extreme sports in both summer and winter seasons. The town was host to the 1st Winter games in 1924 - moreover it is also a domain of outstanding views offering much to the adventurous skier and tourist.
Differing from most modern skiing areas Chamonix town is not a modern snowboarding town and has largely been saved from the concrete resorts that blights so much of the European Alps. It is fortunate to have not only a world renowned ski domain but a classic and busy resort centre.
The town is big enough to ensure there is enough for the holiday maker to do. However you choose to enjoy your vacation there is something to suit everyone. There is a large sports complex, cross country skiing, husky sledding and local market; and lots of shops, cafes and clubs, Chamonix Mount Blanc offers a mix of activities, old town atmosphere and going out, that only a handful snowboarding domains can match. Why not reserve your snowboarding break at once.
