The belt is a frequently disregarded weapon in the men’s clothing arsenal that may either be dead on target, or misfire badly. In the right hands, or on the right waist, the belt can deliver a man’s signature with a punch.

When selecting a belt to wear, a person should never violate these rules :
* a man should never let a lady see him wearing a shirt tucked in while not wearing a belt
* Leave the metal studded belts for the Goth crowd
* Never wear a dress belt with jeans, nor an informal belt with a pleasant pair of dress pants
* stow the urge to wear a belt with a pair of shorts
