Windowpane Observatory, one of the original name a star registry services, has been naming galaxies since the mid 1990s to raise funding for astronomy research. In the last couple of years, a free name a galaxy web site has been creating fierce competition for those who are interesting in naming a galaxy. The free name a galaxy web site owner not only gives galaxies away for free, he criticizes the fee that we ask for. What does one get for our fee? A full color certificate delivered in the U.S. mail along with a star chart showing the location of the galaxy is in the night sky, a personal signed letter from an astronomer and a scientific profile of the galaxy itself.
The free list a galaxy web site gives a person nothing more than an automatically generated certificate that must be printed at your own expense. But, there’s a catch. This free name a galaxy internet site requires a person supply a name and email address, regardless of the fact that all that is ever sent to the registrant is a generated code that is unnecessary to the registration. Why is this? You might question that the free name a galaxy web site is the operation of a a spammer who is gathering up email addresses that are then resold to a third party.
The publisher of this free name a galaxy website says that he has no intention to sell email addresses. What is his aim? What is his motivation for stealing our name a galaxy invention and create a free galaxy naming website? If he’s not gathering email addresses for spammers, then perchance he’s just a mean individual. Our customer service telephone number is proudly issued on our website, but his is not. So this makes it impracticable to call him to ask him what he is up to.

So you need a website to be developed - naturally you search for a web developer to develop your site. In determining who to opt for, you should consider one essential factor: should I go for a bespoke website or a website template?
What’s the differences between bespoke and template sites?
A bespoke website is tailor made to correspond to your prerequisites. You tell the website developer your needs, and they construct a site developed precisely around your needs. A website template uses already-developed code, and you either build your needs around how the website template functions, or the website template can be changed to meet your needs more accurately.
Here are the advantages and disadvantages of a website template
The advantages: A web template uses robust, fully tested, stable and secure code, usually comes with free updates, is very quick to setup and deploy, and is going to be far more money-saving than having a bespoke website designed.
The disadvantages: your template may not precisely correspond to your needs, even with alterations made. The ability of the website developer to amend the website template will be based on his understanding of the template.
Here are the advantages and disadvantages of a tailor-made website
The advantages : Your site will be custom-made to fit your needs. Since the web designer will have prepared the site from nothing, he’ll have a detailed understanding of the codebase, which is a great advantage compared to a template if the web designer doesn’t have much knowledge of the template’s codebase.
The disadvantages : it is high-priced, it normally takes time for a custom site to be built, and you’re taking a risk on whether the web developer is gifted enough to guarantee your website is robust, secure, search-engine friendly and is accessible and usable to everyone.
After deciding upon the sort of site you need, you then need to centre on website hosting. Will the website use dedicated website hosting? Will it use shared hosting? Reliable website hosting is essential to your site. Concentrate also on data back-ups - make sure your site data is backed-up on a daily basis.

Data is very important in any business whether it is online or offline. Data stored in your server cannot be lost as it puts a full stop to your business. If you lose data then you have to spend a lot money, time and effort to replace them. In some critical applications it is not even easy to replace the data. Hence a wise decision is to find some ways to retain your data. This is where Back-up comes into picture.
Data back-up is a process in which you save your valuable data to some remote server or in some media which can be used to restore them back when you need it. You may face situations in which you application becomes corrupt or your data file is corrupted. Intentional damage, natural disasters, and hardware failure are some of the other situations which makes your lose your data. During such situations you can use the data that is backed up in your remote server to restore.
A periodic backup is necessary so that you do not lose much data when a contingency occurs. Data backup in web hosting industry is common and is also a must, since they face a lot of contingencies mentioned above. With ever increasing viruses and worms you may not when you will lose your data. Hence taking backup of your data is a must in these days.
Any web hosting account that you purchase also comes up with a comprehensive backup scheme that can be used to backup the important data that you might have in the server. If you have a site that has many users (members), then it is important that you also backup the data of your users also. Under such situations it is better to backup the site data and the users’ data separately so that you can restore which ever you want.
A backup can be incremental or full backup. Full backup is to take a backup of all the data available in the site, whereas the incremental backup is to take a backup of the data that has changed since the last backup. It takes a lot of time and space to take a full backup of your site. Backup is taken usually in the tar format or the .gz format. Taking backups in these formats saves a lot of space and time.
Most of the web hosting services provides a backup plan which could be monthly, weekly, or daily basis. The data thus backed up is stored offline on a secure server. Some services charge you for the backup services provided by them. Some of the hosting providers provide you the necessary tools to take a backup so that you can schedule backup on your own. If your site has critical data then hourly backup can also be sought after. Such exclusive backups are charged by the hosting provider.
Hence taking a backup of the important data and the site is important in the web hosting industry so that the website can be restored in the minimum time with minimum interruption to the users.
Author recommends web hosting provided by Marble Host. Marble Host offers daily data back-up and 99.9% uptime guarantee. Visit http://www.marblehost.com for more information.

As significate as landing on the moon was, your spot in cyberspace can be just as memorable. I find that the better looking and working a site is then the more it makes me want to come back and use it. When a person first lands on your website they need to be amazed at not only the design but the content and what you offer. Each part of your website should leave a mark in the visitors mind and make them want to stop in every time they jump online. Just same way you want to stop in at the local shops down the street, your website should pull and draw users in.
I know, I know. The question has just popped into your head. How do You Make Your Site Draw Visitors In? Good Question. Let me know when you have the answer(as I head towards the exit). Ok, I am not going to leave you high and dry like that. I like you and am going to try to help you out. I know, I am a nice guy.
Well there are a few ways to do this. To make a great site I believe there are three main keys.
1. Your Design.
2. Your Content.
3. How Your Site Works
No you might have all three keys already, which is great for you but bad for me as you are probably going to stop reading any second now. For the rest of you who stuck with me you probably have at least One of the Three Keys above. The other two aren’t that hard to get.
The reason I list these keys above in the order I did is because this is how a visitor is going to evaluate your website. First they will see the design before anything(including the content or how the site works). So you must make sure the design is fluid, has a good color combination as well as the text is easy to read. Also make sure the navigation is easy to reach(unless you don’t want them to check out any other parts of your site).
Once the design pulls them in then they will be looking at your content to see if it interests them. It probably does as if it didn’t they likely wouldn’t have came to your website in the first place. Keeping your content updated will help keep their interest and will make them start clicking around your site. This is what you want them to do and is especially important if you have a store on your website. The longer they stay on your site the better chance you have of them engaging in on activities (such as a message board) or purchasing from your store.
Now you can see how these two things line up for the last part. If your site doesn’t work properly then the first two keys(design and content) will be for absolutely nothing. If your subpages don’t load quickly, if links don’t work and if errors pop up all over the site then you are going to be in big trouble. Visitors will leave your site quicker then a speeding bullet. So make sure your site works properly.
Remember having a great design, content and a site that works is very easy. The tricky part is getting visitors to your website, so once you get them there you definitely don’t want to loose them. Cause if they leave all your effort will have been for not.

Let us talk about inkjet photo prints. Since they are considered
as one of the best digital printers for all printing needs,
chances are, you may want to have your business cards printed in
one. And why not? With all the reviews these printers are
getting, you want some piece of the action. Do digital prints
fade?
It is difficult to give an accurate estimate for either of this
types of prints. First, because manufacturers are constantly
improving ink longevity. However, in the general sense, it can
be said that the best pigment-based inks, used with their
appropriate photo print papers, have a lifetime of more than 100
years before noticeable fading occurs. While a top-grade
dye-based ink provides prints that last about a decade or two
under good conditions.
Note that inkjet inks are engineered for best longevity when
used with particular photo print papers. This is because the
paper is designed to absorb and “lock in” the ink formulation.
Most printer manufacturers want you to use their brand of ink
and paper. However, as long as both the ink and paper are from
quality independent suppliers and are compatible, they are just
as reliable. The third-party brands are often more economical.
A type of digital color photo is the thermal dye-sublimation
print. This is most often made on small desktop printers that
produce 4-by-6-inch snapshots. This at-home printer employs a
print-wide ribbon with three dye panels of magenta, cyan, and
yellow.
Some printers have a fourth clear panel that lays down a
protective coating on the print’s surface. With a computer or
direct camera hookup to the printer, each dye layer is
transferred by heat onto the paper one color at a time,
producing the color photo.
At best, dye-sublimation prints, when displayed under glass,
have a life without noticeable fading of about five to 20 years,
depending on the dyes used by the manufacturers.
Digital color prints do fade, to answer the question. But then,
so does everything else. That much depends upon how the prints
are protected. Two major causes of color fading are long,
continuous exposure to bright sunlight or ultraviolet light, and
high heat and humidity.
Just try to know the different steps and techniques you can use
to make your prints last a long time. Nothing like a solid and
strong card to stand the time that the company itself is capable
also.

The following tale must repeat itself a thousand times a day across the USA, and there is no telling how many times it happens across the world.
I am asked to attend a lunch with some of the principles of a soon-to-be-launched new venture. One of the principles, to whom I am known, believes that perhaps I could comment on some aspects of the company’s objectives.
As a good friend I return the favor for the lunch by commenting on those areas in which my friend was interested. Before we went our separate ways I asked my hosts what role a website would be playing in this new company? Their response was heartening: “Our website will play a significant part in assisting us to achieve our objectives.”
How wonderful I thought, and so another question followed. “You have told me that you have contracted with a company to design your site, and that the design is well under way. Has your contractor involved you, or any of your partners, in any strategic discussion on how the site will take advantage of the considerable internet traffic that already exists for this industry?” (I asked this question knowing something about what their new organization was going to be, and how it was going to operate.) “What do you mean Leo?” was the reply.
The next few minutes uncovered a number of disturbing details, but the most alarming fact of all, was that there had been absolutely no discussion of how this site was going to rank with the search engines…..yet the design was well under way!!!
There had not been, nor was there likely to be, at this stage at least, any review of the strategic opportunities (and they are considerable), that could be exploited by Search Engine Optimization. There had been NO discussion on possible domain names, key search terms, the role of link trading etc. Why? The answer is simple. The company contracted to design the site has no concept of seo. It is neither an seo firm, nor does it have links with an seo firm.
The story would have gone something like this. Several months down the track somebody in this new company would have realized that there was valuable internet traffic that they could exploit. The principals would have come together and asked themselves what could be done about this? They may have even gone back to the company who designed the original site (in reality this company has done nothing unprofessional-they did meet their original contractual obligations), asking them how to accomplish the task of attracting their share of this internet traffic?
The contractor now tells the client that this will require some modification to the website and that they will set up a meeting at which the pertinent factors will be discussed. Hopefully the contractor realizes that in order to meet the company’s new requirements they will need the services of an seo firm? Now the client is involved in discussions that should have taken place months ago, long before the company was launched.
The client’s focus is disrupted, they are involved in additional expense that could have been avoided and they have a less than positive view of a growth industry that is contributing to America’s global market leadership.
The seo message needs champions!
